TopHotel Awards Gala comes as a recognition of the work and efforts that the hotel, tourism and hospitality industry in Romania is making every day. On 23 May, we will celebrate performance and investment in the hospitality industry, as well as the teams and individuals who have inspired and persevered over the past year.
The judging process is carried out according to the following schedule:
COMPETITION REGISTRATION (24 February - 2 April)
Investors, hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, customers and suppliers are invited to submit project proposals by filling in the online registration form. Registration for the competition is FREE until 2 April.
NOMINEES ANNOUNCEMENT (13 April)
Nominees who meet the requirements for participation in the TopHotel Awards competition will be posted on the website on 13 April.
ONLINE VOTING (13 April - 7 May)
Online voting for the nominees will be done by accessing the event website from 13 April to 7 May. Each person can only vote once.
JURY VOTE (19 April - 7 May)
During this period, the jury vote will take place, carried out by the jury committee for each section.
MYSTERY SHOPPING EVALUATION OF NOMINATED LOCATIONS (13 April - 7 May)
The mystery shopping evaluation by 4Service representatives of the locations nominated will take place from 13 April to 7 May.
TOPHOTEL AWARDS GALA (23 May)
Now in its seventh edition, the Gala will take place on 23 May, starting at 19.00, at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel.

This category is for those locations that focus on protecting the environment while providing an unforgettable guest experience. Locations in this category stand out for their nature-friendly activities: they have implemented green or eco-friendly programmes internally, the construction of the property is eco-certified, they use solar energy sources, they have products and food from their farms and gardens, etc.
This category is for 4 and 5-star hotels in the leisure tourism category, which is distinguished by exceptional service and focus on recreational experiences, offering a wide range of activities for relaxation and recreation.
Category open to balneal tourism hotels. Hotels offering quality services and owning new or upgraded medical treatment centers, well-equipped SPA & wellness areas, and qualified medical staff will be awarded.
In this category are awarded those accommodation units (villas or cottages), classified at 4 and 5 stars, which offer a memorable experience to guests through diverse and high-quality services and facilities.
Category open to manor houses or castles (historic buildings) that offer accommodation and that stand out by preserving the original architecture, design, and concept and that offer a fairytale experience to guests through their authenticity.
Category open to guesthouses that emphasize the traditional style and promote it daily through tourism. Nominees in this category offer guests an unforgettable experience, highlight traditions and make them known through design, customs, or gastronomy.
This category is addressed to those hostels that stand out for their design, concept, and modern architecture, as well as high-quality services.
Category open to hotel spas that stand out by design and concept, but also by the variety and quality of services offered - treatments and massages.
Category open to those wineries that organize tours and offer accommodation on the vineyards, having in their portfolio of services and wine tasting and culinary experiences.

The category recognizes the hard work and efforts of the best hotel General Managers who have played a major role in the hotel's outstanding performance in recent months.
In this category are awarded those employees who in the last year have distinguished themselves through initiative and professionalism in the hotel where they work and have had outstanding performance.
This category recognizes teams that have mobilized and supported the hotel they are part of, but also that have stood out for their professionalism and outstanding quality of service and care for guests.
The category offers recognition to chefs who have adapted to new customer demands, demonstrating flexibility and innovation.
This category rewards the best CSR initiative of a hotel or travel agency in the fields of health, education, environment and local community development.
